NTDs (Neglected Tropical Diseases) are a group of 21 diseases that affect 1.4 billion people worldwide, as defined by the WHO. They are primarily prevalent in regions such as rural areas of Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Latin America, where many people live in poverty. Despite the fact that many of these diseases can be controlled through affordable medications, preventive measures, and improvements in public health, efforts to address them have not progressed sufficiently due to insufficient medical infrastructure and low policy priorities.

 This is a youth-led organization based in Japan that raises awareness about NTDs and makes policy recommendations. It lobbies policymakers and implements events and projects both in Japan and overseas.

Members with various backgrounds, such as medical students, nursing students, and working adults, collaborate to carry out activities. Even if you have no experience in medicine or international cooperation, you can participate by utilizing your areas of expertise.

There are various ways to get involved, such as becoming a “regular member” to receive event information, or an “intern” to actually participate in projects. If you are interested, please contact us.
